Online lesson boards for tutors

Keep one continuing board for each student, or make a standalone board for a lesson you will assign later. Frames hold separate lessons; text, notes, shapes and arrows explain the route through them. Add pictures, video and audio, then group, align or copy material between boards without recreating it.

The canvas pans and zooms like the whiteboards tutors already know, with undo and redo, keyboard shortcuts, dotted or squared paper, and a fit-to-content control. When the lesson ends, the board stays where you left it instead of becoming another recording or link to find in a chat.

Open Knowledge from inside the board and place an uploaded file, a selected PDF page, or an individual exercise extracted from one of your textbooks. Images, audio and video can be uploaded directly. A textbook crop keeps its page context, so you and the student can see where the task came from.

Moving from Miro or a document? Copy text or sticky-note content and paste it onto the canvas; Halgo turns up to 50 text blocks into editable notes in one step. This is not a full Miro or Canva file import yet: proprietary layouts, connectors and animations do not cross over automatically.

Place a Practice deck or one saved game directly on the lesson. Flashcards, matching, sorting, word order, gap fills, connections and picture tasks open in an in-board player, so the student can play while you teach without being sent to another tab.

The placed activity is a snapshot: later edits to the source deck cannot quietly change a lesson you already prepared. Playing from the tutor or public board is a preview and does not alter a student's spaced-repetition schedule or progress record.

Create a private, expiring student link with viewing-only permission by default; allow editing only when the lesson needs it. The student opens it in a browser with no app and no Halgo account. You can see whether the link was opened, turn it off, or replace it — replacing it also disables the old one.

Once a board has lesson frames, you choose which frames are visible. Hidden lessons and loose working notes stay with you. The student's view updates while they watch, and an editable link lets them move, resize, edit or remove the cards you shared. It does not give them controls to create new cards.

For a student board, Halgo can draft a lesson from a topic, one grammar focus, the student's level and the books you have already indexed. It lays out the stages, book exercises, practice, homework and a separate answer key as ordinary board cards you can edit, move or remove.

The lesson builder is a beta drafting tool, not an autopilot. Model-written cards are labelled as Halgo drafts and must be reviewed before sharing. The live board, manual tools and student links do not depend on using it.
