Zoom and Google Meet

Live

Halgo does not make you switch video tools. Save a Zoom or Meet link on the lesson and open it from your calendar; send that external link to the student through the channel you already use.

The link lives on the lesson

Paste a Zoom or Google Meet link on a lesson — or keep your recurring room there — and it stays beside that lesson in your Halgo schedule. The public student page does not expose external meeting links today, so send it to the student through your usual message or calendar invite.

A built-in Halgo call exists in the product, but its LiveKit service is not configured for beta tutors today. Use your saved Zoom or Meet link and usual student channel for live lessons for now.

Lesson memory — opt-in, and honestly not finished

The plan is a notetaker that joins your Zoom or Meet call, transcribes it, and turns "what did we struggle with last month?" into a lookup. It is opt-in per lesson, off by default, and the student's side of the consent is a parent's decision, not a checkbox we tick for them.

Status, plainly: the pipeline exists and is in testing behind the beta; it is not switched on for beta tutors yet. This page will say so the day that changes — until then, treat lesson memory as coming, not as promised-for-today.

Questions tutors ask

Do I have to use Halgo's built-in call?

No — and the built-in call is not available on the live beta today. Keep a Zoom or Meet link beside the lesson for your own schedule and send it through your usual channel. External links are not shown on the public student page today.

Will Halgo record my calls?

Not on the live service today. The planned transcription workflow will be off by default and will run only after it is enabled and consent is recorded for that lesson. Being reachable is not consent to being recorded — that rule is structural in Halgo, not a settings default.

Want your evenings back?

Halgo is letting tutors in a few at a time. Leave your address on the landing page and we'll write when a place opens.
